Why do you provide free nutritional advice?
Because scientific research proves that eating a healthy diet is equally as important exercising when trying to achieve a lean, fit, healthy body.
What benefits can I expect to see from your training?
You will feel happier, lose weight, become more toned, have more energy, gain a stronger heart, learn new skills, gain confidence, get gorgeous glowing skin, be able to concentrate better and get great quality sleep. Whilst reducing your chances of suffering from heart disease, hypertension, stroke, certain types of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, osteoporosis, chronic back pain, anxiety and depression.
How long will it take before I see results from your Personal Training?
Your body will testify that you have just exercised immediately after your first workout! However, the length of time before you start seeing more noticeable results varies from person to person, depending on level of fitness, quality of diet, genetics, and commitment. But generally you will be amazed at the improvements you can make in just 3-6 weeks.
As a woman, if I weight train will I develop big, bulky muscles?
No. There are a number of components that build muscle such as testosterone, the number of repetitions, type of exercises and illegal drugs. As a woman you have up to 30 times less of the muscle building hormone testosterone in your body than a man does, meaning no matter how many weights you lift you will not be as big as a man. To build muscle you must also perform a specific range of repetitions of an exercise – we simply will not work within this range. Certain exercises can help build muscles faster than others – we simply will not do these exercises and many of the pictures of muscle-bound oversized female bodies that you see are unfortunately the result of illegal drugs. This is not natural, safe, ethical, or normal and certainly not something that I will be advocating.
Is your training equally effective for both men and women?
Yes, both men and women find my training equally enjoyable, equally challenging and equally beneficial. All of my sessions are based on the most up-to-date, cutting edge, scientific research so whatever your gender, whatever your training goal, I have the knowledge that will help you achieve it.
Am I too old to start exercising?
You are never too old to exercise! In fact the best thing you can do as you age is to get active. Exercise will help you to stay strong and flexible and doing the things you love through later life. Exercise adds life to your years. Training with me will provide a safe, enjoyable way to do this.
What equipment do I need?
The only equipment you would need is suitable clothing and footwear. Clothing should be comfortable and not restrict your movement. Footwear should be trainers or something similar. I will provide all other equipment for the session including bottled water and a freshly laundered towel. This will be provided for each and every session.
Where do you offer your Personal Training?
Currently most of my clients come from Brentwood, Chelmsford and Romford, however I offer personal training services in homes, gardens and local parks anywhere in Essex and east London.
I have struggled with my weight for a long time, how will training with you make a difference?
As a client of mine we will have a consultation where we discuss your training likes and dislikes and barriers which stop you from exercising. I will provide you with nutritional advice and design you a bespoke training programme based on underpinning scientific knowledge that will use a goal and reward system to help maintain your motivation. Your progress will be constantly monitored and if need be your programme will be tweaked to ensure your continued improvement.
